any proper state, local or national authority. It will not.

Open Letter to Rodney Maxwell
Whereas in the State of Utah there are no governmental regulatory bodies that
govern the open and free use of hypnotism, it has come upon this body, (though
dismantled), to take immediate and determinate action. There will be no chance
for a hearing or appeal on your part (since it is my express statement to all
hypnosis students that if any ever used hypnotic tools I taught them, to harm
other human beings, I would revoke all certificates and or awards and diplomas).
Your actions have determined this important decision.
This is to inform you that your certification, registration and standing with
the Utah Association of Clinical Hypnotherapists, Hypnotism International and
Hypnotism training Institute are revoked and you are required to remove and
return all certificates, diplomas and or awards within 5 business days to Hypnotism
International/UACH, Don Spencer at PO Box 704 SLC , UT 84110.
The following certificates/diplomas and or awards are hereby revoked and or
denied:
1. Hypnotist
2. Master Hypnotist
3. Hypnotherapist
4. Clinical Hypnotherapy
5. Firewalker
6. UACH Approved School
7. UACH Approved Trainer
8. Stage Hypnosis
You are also now informed that you are not to attend
any UACH meetings. Any material that you may have in your possession or via
any medium, i.e. written, electronic, internet, audio, video, in which mention
to UACH or HYPNOTISM INTERNATIONAL must be removed immediately. You are also
required to not use any title received from the UACH or HYPNOTISM INTERNATIONAL,
HYPNOTISM TRAINING INSTITUTE including but no limited to Hypnotist, Master Hypnotist,
Hypnotherapist, Firewalker, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Stage Hypnotist, Hypnotherapy
Instructor and Hypnotherapy Trainer.
Reasons for Revocation:
1. Blatant and continued misuse of hypnotic training
received by UACH, HYPNOTISM INTERNATIONAL AND HYPNOTISM TRAINING INSTITUTE.
2. False misrepresentation to individuals as to
your ability to offer certified training.
3. The State of Utah* has required you to register in order to offer certified
training in which you have blatantly ignored over
and over again.
4. Misleading promotional material in reference
to your training from other sources.
Your consistently inappropriate exploitive behaviour
in my opinion is completely unacceptable!
It is also my opinion you Rod Maxwell have singularly and with willful intent
determined to use powerful tools of persuasion to uproot a fellow hypnotherapist
from a small part time income. You have failed
to use hypnosis in my opinion for the betterment of all and your
manipulation of reality is a harm to many. The end does not justify the
means and I mean this is the end of people I care about becoming unwilling participants
in your psycho-drama in my opinion. For years I have approached you over and
over again about your behavior and blatant misuse of hypnotism. Your
continued failures to use personal integrity with others in regards to
hypnotism must end. Your countless apologies and flagrant
disregard for others in your pursuit of enriching yourself is appalling.
If you feel a need to correspond with myself or Diane Bradshaw, all communications
will be in writing and I expect you to communicate with me.
I expect you to fail in this as well as you have failed other human beings.
This memorandum has been forwarded to all responsible agencies including but
not limited to : State Board of Regents, National Guild of Hypnotists, Avalon
Theater, Department of Commerce.

Another Reason Rodney Maxwell
has been Reprimanded from Hypnotism
January10th, 2001 I received two emails from my ISP
They both contained information in regards to Rodney Maxwell's
outrageous behaviour, threats, foul and abusive language. I will not
reprint them as they are rather shocking and I would not want children
to read this. You may at your discretion email me for details if need
be. All info is kept on file with this office.
My sincere apologies to Pam and Bizcom Int. for having to face the
kind of lauguage of personal threats from Rodney Maxwell. Trying to
create intimidation through abusive language and threats will not be
tolerated! This notice is futher posted to let it be known that personal
threats are being made so as to have written notice on file.
This also has
been forwarded to all legal agencies noted above.

In 1999 Rodney Maxwell wrote a book he calls the disciple. In an attempt
to make himself
out to be a special messanger from God (delusions of granduer),
he again has failed humanity.
The book reveals his consistant distrubing deceptions about reality.
I can personally attest to the fact the many stories
Gumby "writes" about are outright
blantant lies!
How do I know? Because I was there! The book begins with firewalk I
conducted.

for an hour and then another talking to God.

had to take Rod over the coals because of his FEAR.
Rodney Maxwell claims he spent hourlong mediations.

time was there any skipping and dancing on the coals by Gumby.
This is all a complete FABRICATION and wishful thinking.

into helping create BOGUS accounting and trusts
to the public.

Gumby continues with an account of an insect called a katydid.
He claims the insect flew down the road and that he connected with
"the universal mind of the insect" and called it
back to us.
The reality here folks is that the only universal insect
mind is his own!
The story is a complete and total
lie!
I DEMAND YOU STOP LYING AND ABUSING PEOPLE'S
EMOTIONS.
He tells people he is a practioner of black magic and has harmed people.
On page 230 he claims me to be his hypnosis instructor which is
true.
He boasts my training as the best.
Gumby claims to have been initiated by me.
TOTAL DELUSIONAL THINKING!
There has never been given to Rod any type of initiation by myself.
There has never been many Firewalks we've walked together.
As an instructor I have guided many over the coals,
but be clear that Rod and I have never "walked together".
Gumby states truthfully, "the gifts I see in you, Spencer,
are power,
discernment, and healing."
In this I find truth and in this also I have discerned a highly misaligned
human being,
you Rod Maxwell. Gumby has consistantly used and abused humans with
his
twisted thinking and manipulative lifestyle.
Gumby's spirit is dark and I believe evil discribes his nature.
Yes, you may now feel what my power is which illuminates truth and
reveals lies which you are.

a 3-day stage hypnosis training
here. One former "student" of Rod Maxwell was under the false
impression
that his training 2 years earlier was valid. It was not. It was given
under
illegal activity. Further more I found his knowledge of hypnosis and
hypnotic
inductions substandard, inadequate and harmful to the public.
2003 UPDATE
Rod Maxwell is still a slimey troll.
He spends his time following me around
from fair to fair wanting to create problems. He seriously needs a life.
Again all material is being turned
over to the local police as I now believe
him to be totally psychotic and both a cyber stalker and physical stalker.

"The Emerald City" by Rod Maxwell has been ordered by the State of Utah to
cease his illegal offering of hypnosis training. You must be registered as a
postsecondary proprietary school with the Utah State Board of Regents which
he is not. He has also been disciplined by the Utah Association of Clinical
Hypnotherapists as a public threat and stripped of all certificates and or awards
and or diplomas. Please remove him from your service in order to help us keep
